Partner onshore after PMV

Hello,

Just got my PMV granted a week ago.

But as i'm Leaving to australia in a few weeks i was wondering what documents should i take from the netherlands for when we apply for the onshore partner visa.

what do we need for this application after a PMV grant. Do we need to add all the same documents again?

Like the form 1229 we added with the pmv (kids dad agreed we can take the kids) Do we need to do that again? or will they have that in their documentation?.

Advice needed please

Marjan

From what I know, it is a whole new application and you need to provide all the documents again.

Not sure whether things might change when they go online application in future.

Anyway, it is always a good idea to have the documents handy. You never know when you are going to need them.

Thank you for your answer.

I have been reading most applicants getting documents back after the grant . Hope i will too

Do have just emailed my CO and asked if it would be possible for her to send some documents back or Certified copies. And asked about form 1229 (Concent to grant to visa to children) as we just send that a month ago. Really hope we wont have to do that again as that would be nearly impossible.

Though it is technically a new application, you don't have to provide medicals again, even if they've expired, because they already have them. So maybe they won't make you submit the 1229 again? Not sure.

Thats what i was thinking. If i didnt have a consent to take my children they would not have granted me a PMV. So i hope it might be the same as with medicals.

I cant find anything about this on the internet, only that people have to send in a 1229 when they apply but that is when they first apply for a visa.

Hi Marjan,

1) Question 1 in form 1229 asks if the purpose of travel is for a temporary visit, permanent residence or both.

2) When you apply for the sc. 820/801 as a PMV holder, you basically have to provide all the same personal documents again, plus (updated) relationship evidence and marriage certificate.

3) You have 9 months from the date of the PMV grant to lodge the sc. 820/801 visa. You can do it as soon as you have all the documentation ready and you meet all the requirements.I usually advise to do it a few months before the expiry date, at the latest.

4) As far as I am aware, the department seldom returns documentation, apart from original police certificates and personal photographs. They certainly won't provide you with copies. But you can obtain copies of all the documentation through a( free) FOI request. Use form 424A, which you can download from the DIBP web-site.

Thank you CCMS,

On Form 1229 checked " both". So i guess that means we dont have to use that again?.

I basically only need the police check, the other douments i can collect here before leaving If she does not want to send me a copy of them.

Our visa will expire august 27th so we are planning to apply for the next visa in june/july That would be early enough? Seen some applicants wait until just a few weeks before.

Sorry if i asked silly questions, it is just so much to think off.
