Skilled Migrant Visa

Hello

Quick question regarding applying to live and work in Australia under a skilled migrant visa or any other form of visa?

Could anyone possibly tell me if their is a specific agency that we can go through in the uk/australia to deal with our application or would it be wise just to apply directly through the australian government.
The only reason i ask is that with an agency doing the leg work, i feel i would get alot more feedback on a daily/weekly basis, but would this be the case?

Kind Regards

Graham

You'll find that there are no end of Immigration agents Graham both in the UK and Australia, Visa Bureau being one I have heard of in the UK and if you were looking for an Australian based one you ought to get a MARA registered one.

I do not know how the agencies function but as for the leg work, it is you who have access to all the various documentation and you may find an agency expects you to supply it to them and just really collate it all, fill in an application form for you to sign or have done it online and then lodge it for you.

The applications from agents are not processed any quicker and there are always the agents that may not do such a great job, there regularly being bad experiences reported on forums.

Have you read closely the information in the eligibility and applying for this visa sections of visas on the Immi site and had a look at a Checklist , information being clearly layed out.

And as for daily or weekly feedback, forget it and think of a process that can be from quite a few months to several years depending on what type of visa you are applying for and the priority it may have.
An application can be sitting in a queue for well over a year and several in some cases before a CO is going to even look at it and with most, not much will happen from month to many later.

Have a look at recent changes [ or those still to be introduced ] info @ http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...df/csl-gsm.pdf
