Badly need your help guyz..

We are applying for a partner migration visa (Subclass 309) & we were given a CO last Sept 2009. We've been told that the processing time will take 9-12 months. My questions are..

1. Is it wise to take the medical examination now or shall we wait for the
immigration's notice? (8th month now since we were given a CO)

2. How long does a medical exam result be considered valid? 6 or 12 months?

Looking forward on your advice.. By the way, thank you aussiegirl for the last reply.

Hopefully, you are getting close to when you would hear from the CO again Iris but other departments involved with Immi have had increased work put on their limited resources through refugee claims and that could slow processing down.

Some people do get medicals done prior to being asked in anticipation of the request not being far away and it is decision only the sponsor/applicant can decide re the risk involved.

Medicals have a validity of 12 months.

If you have an email contact for your CO, you could email and state what you are considering and ask if there is any news on the progress of the process.

thank you so much Wanderer, actually our migration agent is the one who told us to take the medical exam now. Maybe n a month or two i'll do the medical exam. I just hope it will not take 1 year for them to decide if our application has pass or denied. thank you!
