Cool Visa Deadline

This may have already have been covered in previous posts, but i was just wanting to know once a person/persons visa application has been accepted, is there a specific timeline/deadline for the visa i.e. under a skiiled migrant visa how long may you hold this before it expires??

If applying in the UK and my visa application is accepted then does this mean i have 1,2,3 years before i have everything sorted to move to australia??

Kind Regards

Graham

From time a visa is granted it'll normally be something a bit less than a year to what will be stipulated as latest enter by date, usually based on when your medical is valid to, that being 12 months without any extension which will only be made by DIAC in exceptional circumstances.
So best not to do medicals up front which some people might do for then if your visa does not get considered until the best part of a year has gone, you could be left with little time.

Some people will make what they call validation trips if they want to leave a settlement trip until later on, for once validated by just an entry even for one day, a PR visa is then good for five years.
