Police Character Certificates Query

Hi folks,

Iíve trying to figure out if I need to redo police certificates for two of the three countries I have lived in over the last 10 years as Iíve not been back to them since I received the certificates Ė which I needed for my NZ residence application just over two years ago. Iíve seen references on a forum someplace that I donít need to get them redone, but from the DIAC site I canít find any explicit confirmation of that. Iíd rather know now that I need to redo them and get the ball rolling on applying, rather than finding out further down the track that the old ones are NOT valid. Can anyone confirm for sure one way or the other? Or am I best to call DIAC directly? Or any pointers to the final written DIAC word would be much appreciated:-)

Thanks,
Kiwi Pom

Certainly give them a call for even if you get information from a forum on what might have happened in one case that is no guarantee the same will apply, and even with a call, some things can always be at the discretion of a CO.

That said however, the principle of up to date information usually applies and so if you have a PCC that covers you to a certain date and your passport/immigration records support no presence after that date, the PCC should be OK.
