Question Need Help Regarding 820 partner Visa

Hi
I applied for 820 partner visa onshore in june this year...i am currently living in my partners parents house..
I went through Couple of forums just to gain a knowledge of what supporting documents should i provide..but i got confused..can anybody please help me out and tell me what should i provide ....
Currently these are the things which i have..
water and electricity bills, joint bank account, marriage certificate, super beneficiary, travel tickets, hotel bookings, also got some posts for rego and license on the same address, various family covers, pics of weddings and travelling together and socialising, tax returns..

Will that be enough or should i provide with more supporting documents..

Hi Har,

That is great. You have the idea. The witness form 888 would also prove the extent of your relationship - so perhaps from your partner's parents - they can be great witnesses to your relation.

More for my own knowledge, are you applying online?

Hi Har3478,

I think you have it all covered....most documents there listed. The only other thing like, Amandy said is the statements from both parents and perhaps from any other people known to both of you will be required apart from your own stat decs describing the nature of your relationship.

I had lodged it for my wife in 2009 with lesser evidence than what you have listed there and we had no trouble getting the visa for her.

Thanx for the reply
I have already applied in june this year so its been 5 months ....
i have got the witness forms done as well from my brother and one frend of mine who use to work with me and my wife at the same place.....
The only thing i am lacking is i dont have a lease for the place...
thats why i am a bit worried..
another thing i want to ask is when do they call for an interview ..i mean do they call when apply for 820 or its when we apply for 801..as my wife she got some sikness in which she cannot remember a lot due to the medicines she take ..and somebody said that they can call you anytime without notification...so i am a bit stressed regarding that...can u guys please help me out on this ..thanxxx

I don't think not having a lease is such a big issue, as long as you have all your other documents to prove your relationship in all the aspects they ask for.

As for the interview they didn't have any when I had applied, but I have heard that they do have them in some instances. I wouldn't be guide you on that but my guess is it has to be at the time of applying for the 820 and not 801.

They call in for an interview anywhere between 2 - 12 months post application. It all depends. Some don't even require an interview if the relationship is extremely convincing and genuine.
You don't need to be on the lease, you can be living with anyone and boarding, that is fine, but correspondence and licenses with the same address is helpful.
Good Luck Har.
