prospective marriage visa application

hi friends
im from Turkey and 2 days ago I applied to the prospective marriage visa.. ı have a few questions about it and would love to hear ur answers..

1. the lady who works in immigration office did not take my sponsors’ last two years’ Notice Of Tax Assessments issued by the Australian Taxation Office, employment status and last 4 pay slips

2. i bring about 600 pictures with me and she did not take them ( just wanted to see a few pics. )

3. she told me visa process takes 9 months to 12 months ?

4.she took just flight ticket from evidence of ongoing relationship.. and she gave back the other files to me..

5. she asked me just a few questions.. was it the interview? like how you met, where you met, how your relationship developed ...

i just wonder is it the same in everywhere,?? thats all for now thank you so much. and sorry for my english.

I would've sending the evidence in by courier don't give them an excuse to reject u. And tell them u will continue to forward them evidence until they confirm they are 'satisfied with ur relationship'

Hello Zipcik,
Reading post about your 600 photos, tax and employment details and your flight ticket all worries me. I will send you a message as I am worried about CO coming to this forum now, sorry to be paranoid but getting refused for our visa was so bad and what was written in the letter has made us humiliated.
I wish you luck and I am hoping to hear good news about people who have applied for visas in Ankara and neighbouring countries as this will give me some joy .
I will send you a message soon..

If u are unlucky to have a racist case officer like we did first time around its possible it can be done on purpose. That's why I say send them everything and get courier receipt as proof u sent it. Better safe than sorry

Officer was Turkish and I'm Turkish as well I don't think so it's about racism but it's was really wierd . My fiancee will call the immigration office in Australia and asked about it.. If the officer did something wrong we have to report it as we won't let her to play with our lives..

My guess is:
I read this elsewhere -
Sponsor's eligibilty is not so much of an onus for visa processing than applicant's genuineness of relationship with sponsor. Just the australian passport and form 40 would have been sufficient to prove your partner's "australianess". So rest of the documentation would have been overkill. That is why they gave you back.
600 Pictures!! personally I think that too is an overkill, Few pictures would have been enough to gauge your relationship and its sincerity. That is probably why she/he gave you the rest of the pictures back.
I'd say nothing to worry about there.
Just my two cents

Just curious, how did you conclude that your case officer was racist?
