Question Penal Clearance Question

Wondering if anyone could help answer a question re Penal Clearance and Application Status...

We have applied by Electronic Application and there has been no movement since 5/3/10. It shows that the medicals have been finalised but have not put up anything about the Police Clearances which we forwarded around the same time.

Do they put these up here before decision is finalised???

We are starting to worry that perhaps our attachments were not sufficiently clear but have had no acknowledgement from our CO.

Eagerly awaiting our Visas!!!

Thanks & kind regards
Measie

It all depends on what priority of application yours is Measie and just how many are in the queue ahead of you as to when you get a CO and will hear from them.
Having applied in March and that too late for the CSL, you'll likely be waiting a while.
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...processing.pdf gives an indication of the new priority listings and if your occupation is on a State Migration Plan, you may want to consider what is involved in getting on to one when details are released.
Client Service Charter gives some indication of processing wait times but for lower priority applications, those times could always change if more higher priority applications are received.

Sometimes the online file will get updated and other times not and that is possibly just the situation with the PCCs.

We applied for 175 on 23.Jan.10 by Electronic Application. CO assigned on 10.March.10 & requested Medicals & Penal Clearances. Medicals finalised on 1.April.10...
and thats where we are at.. playing the waiting game now and getting pretty anxious as I'm sure many others are!!

Regards
Measie

On those dates, I'd reckon you would have had to have an occupation on the CSL and if so lucky you got it in before 08February [ I assumed 5/3 wasyour application date!; even so, that was an extra good response time and outstandingly so if you were not CSL.

You could still have luck running your way and hear something before too long for sometimes no news is good news re nothing to stop the application being granted.

If so, the only reason it could be held up would be if Immi have got to their current financial year budgeted number or are closing in on it and that will slow things down.
I've seen some reports that it may be the case and so a higher processing rate would not be cranked up again until July 01.
