We are Irish and my husband is an Accountant so on the MODL old & new I believe..
We applied for 175 on 23.Jan.10 by Electronic Application, after spending approx 4 months pulling all our paper work together (IELTS score of 8.5).
CO assigned on 10.March.10 & requested Medicals & Penal Clearances.
Medicals finalised on 1.April.10...

That's the good news you wanted Measie and looks all flowed reasonably smoothly for you as it should and does for most applications that are fully compliant and have sufficient priority.
Citizenship & Living in Australia and especially the settling in sub section has some useful info re driving licences, medicare etc.

Certainly a wide choice of locations you can look at with accountancy because right through from smaller towns to capital cities, country or coastal you'll always find plenty of opportunities and smaller cities/towns usually offering a better quality of life and at a cheaper price too.
