Dear all.
We are in the 2nd stage of PR Visa. I am a Member of Engineers Australia, which I believe is a qualification valid for certifying documents according to DIAC.
I am the sponsor of the visa for my Wife (my wife is the Visa Applicant).
The Statutory declaration form provided by DIAC, in its last page reads:
"A statutory declaration under the Statutory Declarations Act 1959 may be made before-.....
(3) a person who is in the following list:
.....
Member of Engineers Australia, other than at the grade of student"
Can I, using my title as MIEAust, act and sign to certify the copies of the documents we are submiting? (even though I am the sponsor)?
Could I serve as witness for signing the statutory declarations to be submitted with the additional documents requested?
Considering I am qualified to witness statutory declarations, could I sign my own statutory declaration, or would I need to have another person to sign mine?
Any info is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Luigi
