One of the concerns my husband is is the pressure he is going to have yo pass the skills test he's looking at plastering or painting really but our idea of the job description of that could be different and what would be involved in the skills looked at during assessment may be different than what he would aspect. Based on rthis if you have any advise on the assessment process (that weoulkd give him a level 3 Australian certificate) would be great. Its just a lot of money to risk and he wants to be absolutely sure he's capable of passing it evern though he's got 9 years in the trade anyway but I can see why he has insecurities its a lot of pressure.

Anyway best of luck and congratulations very jealous 😆
What skills assessment authority would he get the assessment from? Anyway, thanks for the good wishes, and I hope that things can also work out for you and your husband

We have been informed by the visa company that he would need to do (or be assessed) by RTO place and then do the skills assessment so in effect this is giving him the oz version of a level 3 qualification in his trade because he's a tradesman by trade not qualification as he doesn't have any formal ones apart from 9 years experience doing the job.

I hope this makes sense :-)

Thanks for your reply too x

Thanks Ashleigh.

Reason i particularly ask this question is, out of 4 employments i produced for overall work experience of 8 years, VETASSESS assessed only one employment of 1.5 years, hence i am confused that do i need to submit all employments roles and responsibilities to DIBP again to claim 15 points for 8 years.

Can you please share your views and experience.

Santhosh
