Software Engineer (subclass 189,190,489) July 2014

Hi,
I am planning to apply for Australian visa (189,190,489) for Software Engineer in around July-August 2014 as by that time I would have my skill assessed and IELTS score as well.I would be scoring 60 points.
I am a passout of a reputed college in India ( Nit Kurukshetra, Computer Engineering) and work as software engineer in Royal Bank of Scotland.
I have two main concerns..
1. Would Software Engineer be able to survive in 2014 SOL that would come in July?
2. Would I get invite ( I don't care after how long) for 60 points in any of the visa mentioned?
Visa 189-60 points
Visa 190-65 points
Visa 489-70 points

Also, can anyone share the statistics ( or just give an idea) of the invitations received for the software engineer occupation in the current year?

Hoping for early answers..
Dheeraj

This is not an answer to your question but I just wanted to say that I am interested in this too. I am in position quite similar to yours. Wondering if I should even start with the process since I only have 60 points (if I score IELTS band 8).

So, I will be following your thread.

Yeah..8 in IELTS.. But even if we some how get that.. There are other issues as well like software engineer in SOL,and then getting invitation..etc..
My intuition is this occupation will be there in SOL.. But there will be so many EOI lined up by that time..that it would get filled up by September.. Thus making it difficult for late 60 entries..
Rest.. God knows...
