Singapore Help

Does anyone know of any really cheap hotels in Singapore that is NOT a hostel? i can't seem to find any that are around $20 and has 1 bed like usual hotels. They all seem to have 5 or 6 beds in one room. PLEASE help! My fiancÚ and i decided to go through for "offshore" instead of Bali. ANY advise will help. Thank you

I have heard Singapore ia expensive.

Try trivago.com.au if there are any they will be on that website - they compare all websites and you will see the cheapest.

AUD 1 = SGD 1.13.

It is unrealistic to expect a $20 hotel room per night in Singapore. It is not Bali.

Why not just go to Bali for a few days or a week and then come back to Oz on another tourist visa if the visa is not granted for another 3 months. Then each time not long before you are going to go offshore send your case officer an email to tell them so that maybe they might decide to grant it while you are offshore.

I would love to but i was afraid incase if my visa doesnt get approved by May 25. Thats when my 3 months is up and ive had this 676 tourist visa for a while and this expires june 19. And since i cant apply for ETA. Due to criminal background of DUI conviction. I wasnt sure how to tell then i only have about 20 days left on mu 676 tourist. If i apply for an extension which i was hoping and idk how long that will take. And then i dont know how long another tourist visa will take to apply for if i cant extend my current. I dont have the "no further stay" on mine. I was thinking to think of plans incase i get stuck offshore for more than a month or so. I was thinking i would probably have to re apply for 600. If i go to the Oz immigration office with my fiance during my 3 month. Do you think they will help or give advise on what i might be able to do? Or would they not be allowed to tell people those?

Ahhh that is right, I forgot you were on a 676 visa.

I imagine an extension would only take a couple of weeks, I would apply 4 weeks just to be on the safe side.

If you go to immigration with your fiance here it will most likely be the same advice that you will get if you ring them up and ask them.

I believe that you have to be offshore to apply for a 600 visa so you may need to courier the application from Bali to DC if it went down that road.

Maybe speak to a MARA registered agent and see what they suggest. Maybe you could apply for a new 600 visa now but I am not sure if you can do that or not when the 676 is still valid - you may have to wait until the 676 has expired before you can apply for a new one.

Aw :-( is the 600 done online? Or only by mail? My 3 months is up may 27. And my 676 expires june 19. By may 27 my pmv will be at 7 months mark. I really really hope they dont take more than 8 months. Mish, looks like u lodged your way before mine. Isnt it almost time for urs to be granted?

Another question. If i were to ask for an extention or apply for new 600. Will there be a big chance of getting denied when i say its for tourist purpose and to be with my fiance and "waiting on pmv" thats already been lodged. Does that part hurt the chance of getting tourist granted again?

Oh yes you can apply online for the 600 now. Forgot about that bit. Though some embassy's don't accept online but I doubt the US don't accept them.

I know the US is 8-9 months but some get lucky and it gets processed earlier.

Am hoping this is the month we get the decision. I believe we are waiting on the security check.
