regional sponsored visa

Hi,

I am desperate for info please i have been to Aus 5 times since i was a child and would love some info if me and partner meet the critria for the above visa?? My partner has completed a computer science 2year diploma and by the time we would be looking to Migrate would have 12months work experience. I also have a first cousin in Regional Aus who would sponsor me no prob and lives in Regional area outside Sydney! We are under 30 and English is our first language is this enough?? We will have enough money to support ourselves also.

Would we meet the Regional sponsored visa??
Thank u :-)

On the face of it, you would seem to meet most requirements [ for the employer sponsor visa ] and you would just need to check:
. the regional area outside of Sydney is in fact considered regional [ goes by postcodes ].
. the two year diploma gets assessed as equivalent to an Australian one and that'll probably mean a Vetassess assessment.
. and that the occupational will be on the new SOL/ENSOL for sponsoring, new version due for publication hopefully by July01.

If it is the 475 visa you are looking at, the requirements re occupation on SOL and qualification [ likely to be degree plus minimum of 4-5 years experience ] will likely be more stringent and it is likely to be a lengthy indefinite wait time - Visa Options – Professionals and other Skilled Migrants – Workers – Visas & Immigration and http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...processing.pdf

And of course with an employer sponsor visa, there needs to be an employer.
