Skill assessment from ACS

Hi,

1.I have finished my Masters in information system from CQU brisbane .I wanna apply for skill assessment from ACS, but i am very confused about ASCO code list. Can anyone help me out what occupation and what ASCO code will be for Masters in information system ?

2.I am not very sure what suitable occupation is for my course. And i will apply my skill assessment after 1st July because I am waiting for my result of last semester.

3.If I leave the occupation and code section blank in my skill assessment application form will ACS accept that or they will reject because my course is under Accredited University Courses?

Same as I said in your post on New SOL thread, and ACS assess against occupations and there'll be both qualifications and experience required.
With IT qualifications as a basis, it'll be how what employment you have had measures up that will best determine the occupation you may want to seek assessment for.

Hi,

Do you know when our result will be out? I think we can lodge an application to ACS without filling the ANZSCO code, but only after final semester result.

The results will be out on July 2nd. Yes we can lodge the ACS assessment without the code.

Hi preet,

The new ANZSCO codes are going to replace the ASCO codes and we need to apply based on the ANZSCO codes. Any idea under which we fall into??

P.S: I have my fingers crossed for tomorrow

Thanks

There have been transitional arrangements announced, posted at end of http://www.australiaforum.com/visas-...ssessment.html and also information on the new SOL now online, a sticky thread at top too.

HI
I have 4years of total IT work Experience.
Out of these 4years my recent 1 year experience is that of a software tester-code 261314(which is not on SOL list)
Prior to that I worked for 3 years as a Software Engineer SOL code -261313.
Do you think i have a chance of getting ACS approval as a Software Engineer and not as a Software Tester.
Thanks In Advance
