Bridging visa A BVA (subclass 010)

Just wondering if you currently hold a 457 visa and have been granted a Bridging Visa A (BVA) after applying for 820/801 partner visa if you quit or lose your job will the BVA come into effect then? Or is it only if the 457 expires? If you did quit or lose your job would this mean you would still have 90 days to find a new employer or leave the country?

Unfortunately it's only if the 457 expires. If you quit/lose your job, you'd have to find another one, or your BVA would be cancelled along with your 457. Then you'd have to apply to be placed on a Bridging Visa E, which has zero work or travel rights, and any time you've spent in the country prior to that will no longer count towards citizenship. Obviously not ideal
