Employer Sponsored Migration

Hi Guys,
The position i face is having lived in Australia for 2 years on the WHV's, and in the last year worked for an agricultural business in a remote part of the Australian outback.
My employer was keen to keep me on their payroll and offered to sponsor me, great...i thought. However after spending months trying to understand the immigration obligations for this visa, am still not getting anywhere. I have found that my job, Stationhand (farm worker), is not on the ENSOL, and so was wondering if because of this i wouldn't be eligible for this visa?
thanks for any help
Rory

The ENSOL is the basis of the Employer Sponsored visas Rory and whereas a couple of years ago it was a more extensive list that may have covered work like farm hands etc., it unfortunately for situations like yours doesn't any longer which is also going to be a pain for many organisations with businesses outback.
There's not by any chance a heap of horses where you are and that you have been horse training is there?, a little strange for most mustering type work outback these days would I suspect be by motorbikes or helicopters.
For that's about the closest there is on the list to farm work.
You and the employer/position nominated getting eligible for something like that is about your only choice.
Temporary Business (Long Stay) - Standard Business Sponsorship (Subclass 457)

What about in looking to employment with them you see if you can get a student visa, to do for instance a helicopter course and perhaps the company willing to sponsor you re cost, or there are also training visas - Occupational Trainee Visa (Subclass 442) if suitable.

Best wishes and ask again if you think we can help.
