SS and SMP?

what is the diffrence between both state sponsorship as of earlier and state migration program as of now?

both clearly indicate that theres an eligibility list of occupations for each state and the sponsoring requirements are the same in both as well as the subclasses and also the ppriority in processing.

whats the difference?

it looks like the smp's arent yet finalised so if we are looking into getting sponsorship from any of the state it could be a delay in the applications.

can somebody please fill me in on this. wanderer?

The word from the states is generally that they are still developing their SMPs to be ready no earlier than August for some and later for others and other than NSW and maybe ACT the others seem to have their sponsorships suspended.
All you can do is just keep checking the state/territory web sites.
