Pharmacists and SMP

Hello all,
I am a pharmacist and was very disappointed when pharmacists were removed from the SOL.
I was wondering whether there are any other pharmacists out there, and their thoughts of the possible inclusion of pharmacist on the state SMP?
Are the chances of being in the SMP zero to none and should I just consider migration elsewhere?

Cheers

Hey,

I have the exact same problem. My family live out there (mum and some siblings). I qualified Aug 09 and have been waiting to be qualifed a year to start the application process. I feel like the rug has been pulled from under me. Have you been in contact with an agent?

Are you British/qualified in the UK? Have you come across anything useful? I am just sending out emails looking for sponsorship. Are you hosp or retail?

The SMPs will vary I expect from state to state and if some states are experiencing shortages in rural areas it is quite possible they'll list them.
Just a case of waiting a bit as the states have been a bit slack in getting their plans organised and now we have a national election on August 21, it'll likely be sometime in September at the earliest that there'll be something known.
There'll probably be a posting by Immi in the What's New Link as states are organised.
