Question Motor Vehicle Mechanic, just wondering?

Hello all, this is my first thread so please be gently!

We have applied for a 176 Visa (early November last year), been accepted by Victoria for State Sponsorship and also had a positive result from Vetassess.

My question(S) are -

1/ how do we communicate with State or DIAC with reference to the job codes, new ones or old ones?

2/ with all the changes does anyone know where or what priority group we will be in?

and 3/ will be have to re-register for anything?

Seriously do not know what to look for, wait for etc...

Thank you. Smithy

If you already have applied for the 176 visa, the change in codes from ASCO to ANZSCO is not really an issue for you and if you applied online you should have an ID number that'll allow you to do an online check up.
If you have a look at Processing Priority of the Minister's Announcements of 08February via What's New? Recent Changes in General Skilled Migration you'll get an idea on priority and given that there have been skilled applications far in excess of levels set by the government and thus a substantial queue established, it could be quite a while.
Information on Client Service Charter can be used as a guide.
State Migration Plans have been nominated as a second level of priority though no States/Territories are yet ready with their plans and August being the earliest to be expected for any.
We do however also look like having an election sometime in August, so the SMPs could be delayed.
All I'd suggest you do for now is keep checking the State website and Immi What's New link evry month or so and when Victoria finally have a State Plan approved, see if your occupation is on it.
It'll also not hurt to see if you could get hold of an employer to sponsor and you can always get an employer sponsor visa quicker whilst your 176 stays in the system.

Thanks you for your response, it has put my mind at ease knowing that there is nothing I should be doing other than keep checking for updates. Thank you. Smithy
