Smile Auckland Processing times 309/100

I'm aware there is another thread titled this but it seems very out of date.

Hi I'm from the UK and my partner is Aussie, we applied for the 309/100 in Auckland early October 2013 and not heard a thing back yet. Not sure when the average time for getting assigned a case officer is but I've emailed tt services and they haven't answered back. Just looking to see if there are any other people out there at the moment doing the same thing from Auckland and how you are going along on your timeline.

I received an email from the Australian Consulate in Auckland recently which stated they are currently processing applications lodged in October 2013.

However it was not very explanatory, and could be misleading.

Thanks Pelican.

Immediately after I posted that we got our very first email from our case officer and things seem to be going full steam ahead now so you could be right. Have you applied for the same visa?

Oh that's great news!!

We applied for the PMV 300 in January this year so early days yet but that's promising that yours is progressing now as we have been so disheartened that we are going to be separated for so long.

Yeah we didn't hear anything for 4 months and were getting worried and now it's all happening so fast. I did pester ttservices a bit though as they couldnt answer any questions that I had which were pretty important to our application. Every time I rang they gave me a different answer for the same questions. I wasn't very impressed with them. Eventually a co was sorted for us to contact. I don't know if one was due to come a long or because we kept asking to talk to somebody but sounds like it may have just been our turn if they told you that October's applications are going through now. Getting UK police checks done now but that will take a little while as it's all got to be posted, can't be done online. I'll keep you updated with how it goes our CO seems like she's on the ball which is great after the experience we had with people before her

I totally get what you mean, it is very hard to get a straight answer from anyone.

I wonder how long it will take for them to grant your visa from this stage?

Someone in my town from India, took two months for their spouse visa to come through.

Yes do keep me posted, its all very exciting to hear some good news!!
