how to change application from Sub 175 to Sub 176

hello friends,

two weeks ago, I lodged my application for Sub 175, however I have not been contacted by Australian authorities yet.
after a while I shockingly found out that I am not eligible for that type of migration. now my question is how I can change my application to sub 176 and if it has any financial consequences for me or not.

thanks in advance

When you say you're not eligible for a 175 visa, what reason is that for unless it is just that you do not have enough points you may not also be eligible for a 176 visa too as they have the same basic eligibility requirements other than a 176 requiring sponsorship and less points required.

My score is 115, I miscalculated my score before launching my documents because of the fact that I considered my points of IELTS 25 but although my total bandscore is 7.5 but I got 6.5 in writing which makes it 15!

You need to apply for a state/territory sponsorship and you'll have to wait a bit for most states have their sponsorship applications closed until such time as they get their State Migration Plans organised it'd seem, NSW perhaps an exception and you need to check the individial state sites under 176 eligibility.
Hopefully, Immi will place your application in what they call the over 100 and under 120 pool rather than reject your application as invalid if you claimed 25 points.
I also have a vague recollection of some announcement months ago re the pool use and either way it may be in your best interest to contact Immi re advising of your mistake and ascertaining whether your application will go into the pool to await a sponsorship.
You can use the post lodgement enquiry provision under the Immi site Contact heading.

dear Wanderer,

couple of days ago I got an e-mail from Australian immigration dept. about the same question I had asked them.
it says that shifting an application from sub 175 to sub 176 is impossible!?!?
however I can sit in a new IELTS test before the decision is made.
my question is knowing that it's been a month that I have lodged my application and everything, when the decision is made? how much time do I have so I can take the test again?

There's information in the What's New Link re IELTS results needing to be supplied within 28 days of application.
If Immi advised you that you could resit the IELTS and supply a new result, did they not put a time limit on their advice?
You should also have a read of General Skilled Migration and in particular Q 18 of the FAQ.
