Spouse Visa, Middle East & Pregnant

Hi,
Was wondering if anybody on here has applied for a spouse visa from Jordan or any other arab country.

My husband is Jordanian, we have been married for 7 months. Applied for spouse visa March 8th 2010. Had everything ready at time of application. Was told a decision would be reached in 10-12 months by employee at embassy, internet says 10 months and another employee on the phone says its usually 6-7 months. I have been living with him at his family home since we were married, so im in Jordan now waiting for a decision, hopefully we can go to Australia together.
The problem is i recently discovered im 2 months pregnant. Medical care is pretty bad and expensive. Im worried about the baby. I really need to get some idea of how long decisions take to be made from this reason, apparently the embassy is still waiting on the national security check to come back from Australia. The interview was scheduled in April but we are still waiting.
I need to decide now whether or not to keep waiting in hope of the visa coming through soon or to sadly leave and go back home alone with nobody to look after me while im pregnant so I can get medical attention/pre-natal care.
Can anybody please help me?
Tasha

The external security checks may take some time for apparently the arrival of asylum seekers by boats increasing again over the past 18 months is stretching resources for that so I'd not be too hopeful of a quicker processing and there are people from the middle east region who have been waiting the full 10 months and more.
