Thank you for all replies. Well, law is complicated and that's true. Everything in last depends upon the intention of the person.

Isn't it unfair that Immigration is trying to avoid their responsibility by saying (we will not notify any person regarding their visa update/ceased). They can just do a little bit changes in the IT System and everyone get automated email that what has happens to their visa (Same as when we apply for any visa and get automated email for Bridging Visa A). We pay more then 10k in fees, application, lawyers, medical and police check.

The fact is that, whoever write the immigration law probably, never apply for student/PR visa, therefore, they try cover there tracks or protect the authority who gave them powers.
I will again appreciate, if anybody give me advise how should i deal with AAT.
Regards

You have serious issues!! I think you maybe need to talk to some white English people..we are entitled to absolutely nothing. We have to go through the same process that everyone else does ...maybe time to crawl under your bridge as from your posts you are clearly a troll

Hi Aussie2x -

Time spent "living" in Australia, whether under a temporary visa such as a 457 or student visa, or as a permanent resident is counted towards the 4 year residency requirement for citizenship. However given that, the last 12 months (ie, year 4) of the time qualifying must be as a permanent resident. There are additional requirements re: maximum amount of time outside Australia during the 4 years and the last year - suggest you check the Australian Govt citizenship website for all the details.

Best,

Mark Northam
