Change from 885 to 886

Hey to all the experts in the room.

I have a few questions, some which might sound pretty stupid but hey got to ask stupid questions to get answers.

1) When the WA SS publishes their program, if my occupation is on there, does that mean I will automatically get priority processing from 3 to 2?
Or do I need to apply for a state sponsor first?

2) If when I apply for a state sponsor, it comes through...do I need to pay another application fee or withdraw and re-lodge for an 886 or does it happen automatically?

3) Who informs DIAC? Myself or the state does?

4) If I am going through an agent, should I ask the agent to apply for me? Or can I do it myself and then just pass the documents on to the agent once I am sponsored?

5) Now this is tricky, I know that WA have an annual quota for off-list nomination, where they can sponsor occupations that are not on their program. My occupation is on Schedule 3, if it happens that it is not on WA's program, I apply for an off-list sponsor and I get it. Would that mean I will also move into priority 2?

Thanks

1& 2.
You ned to apply for sponsorship and if your occupation is on the SMP, you'll have priority 2.
3. State informs DIAC.
4. Up to you whether you use an agent or not to apply for state sponsorship but if you do not, there's no need to supply them with anything.
5. If they still use their off list quota but an occupation is not on the SMP it'll not likely be priority 2.
