I want to know what happens when someone is on bridging visa, waiting for student visa, but course is starting? Can they start course even while on bridging visa?

Hi Lychee,

DIBP advise when a BVA is granted;
Permission to study
When your Bridging visa (class WA) is in effect, you will have limited permission to study.

However the rights will depend on what substantive visa you held before the bridging visa came into effect.
