info on applying for partner visa

Hello people.
I need info for me and my partners application for partner visa 820.
This is our story....
We met in bali on the 14th jan 09, (she's Estonian and i'm Australian.)

We then got together in mid feb in australia and she lived with me till oct 7.
after few months we where togther my girl had to go out of oz and she went to NZ to extend her visa (an eta visa).

so again 3 months later we went together back to bali so she could extend her visa, and then in oct 7 her visa finished.

she then went home, we where in contact every single day via skype and msn the time we where apart. i then worked till 22nd jan and went to be with her in uk. we then flew to estonia and i met her family.

we then flew back to uk. but due to work i could only spend 4 weeks with her in europe. i then flew home.

she stayed in uk to work and pay off some debt. we have been apart since mid feb and are meeting up again in bali for a month and then flying back to oz to apply for partner visa. cause we are both over 30 we arent able to get work visa's.

i have a lot of proof of our relationship like pics, plane tixs, passport stamps joint bank accounts etc.

we have had a relationship since mid feb 09 but cause we have been apart some of this time i'm worried bout our 12 month time frame that they require.

any info would be good

Your situation is a bit like SS on http://www.australiaforum.com/visas-...r-chances.html except somewhat worse so and to be honest, though on what you say you've obviously got a connection there I doubt it'll measure up to partner 12 months relationship requirements.
A bit like Ashley's thread close by, if you're feeling extra committed, you may want to think of the PMV that's an offshore visa.

i just got this of the "immi" web site. this is why i couldnt be with my girl for extended perionds, and it is same with my partner.

My job in Australia does not allow me to travel to my partner's country to live there for extended periods. We have been in a relationship for 12 months but lived together for only eight months. Will I be eligible to sponsor my partner to Australia?

You may be eligible. It is recognised that it is possible for the parties to be physically apart for periods of time, due to work or travel commitments, yet committed to a shared life.
In assessing a relationship, a number of factors other than periods of physical cohabitation are taken into account.

Yes, that is there but it's more an example I suspect where two people may be a bit more settled in a relationship whereas yours involves a bit of toing and throwing.
It is not my position to decide or even advise but merely suggest what my gut feel is.
The relationship waiver is mentioned under the eligibility section 12 months relationship requirement where you found the CAQ, it only being the ACT, Tasmania and Vic that have the waiver at the moment, NSW having the legislation in place but not yet the connection with Immi as yet as far as I know though may have happened in the last week.

breed,

I've got a similar situation...where as we've been together for over a year but travel conditions allowed us no evidence for co-habitation. I'm USA, my partner is from NSW...you said you did register the relationship there and it 'waived' the 12-month live together requirement?

I'm all ears!

Thanks!
