Thanks,

there is written:

The Victorian Government is currently developing its State Migration Plan. Information about the plan and new sponsorship eligibility lists will be available on this website when they are complete. Only occupations included on Victoria’s sponsorship eligibility lists will be considered for sponsorship. The new arrangements will be in place after 18 October 2010.

So we have to be patient.

On South Australian websites there is some temporary list, you can check it.

Hello Friends,

For your kind attention it is no possible to convert a visa to subclass 176 by including state sponsorship after making an application for subclass 175.
If you do so it has a risk for being rejected

Thanks for your information, luckily I know this from my agent.
But it could be very important for other members from this forum.

Hi Friend,

First of all, decide which type of sponsorship will suit you and rely to the same. 176 (State sponsorship) has the highest priority in processing time than the other 176(Relative sponsorship) but you have to make sure that your occupation is on the schedule 3 of SOL for the former and for the latter your occupation should be on schedule 4 of SOL. For both kind of visa you should secure 100 points. Also you will be awarded 10 poin ts for SS and 25 points for RS. Considering all these factors get to conclusion of what type of visa you are going to apply. Try not to switch over from one visa to another since it has the high risk of being rejected. If you wish reply me with your exact occupation thereby I could suggest you about the type of visas will be suitable for you.

Is a Civil Engineer on the SOL#3? and I think you will find it is and also you will likely find that most if not all states will also have Civil Engineer and most engineering professions on the SMPs as well.
The same will apply for many of the more skilled professions that are of higher demand and there will likely be many on SOL#3 and SOL#4

for raysool
If you have already made a visa application with relative sponsor nominated, I think you may find that your horse has bolted re attempting to change to an SMP state sponsorship.
Immi will I expect come out with some procedural announcement when the SMPs are approved and set up and if there is nothing specific stated, you'll be best to just contact them.
