Inquiry on dependents

My name is Gian and I have been living in Sydney with a student visa for a month now and I have an inquiry.

I have a son in the Philippines. He's 4 years old and he is one of my dependents. I plan to bring him here with me next year. I have a boyfriend in the Philippines and he is the one taking care of my son. My boyfriend and I have a de facto relationship for the past year and a half, the three of us live together in the same house.

I had no prior knowledge that I can add my boyfriend as one of my dependents. I want to know if there is a possible way for me to add him as one of my dependents so as when I bring my son here, we can still be together and both of us can take care of my son.

Any information about this is much appreciated.

Thank you very much
