Prospective Marraige Visa

I have spoken to the Australian High Commision here in Pretoria, and have found out that me and my partner will not qualify for a defacto visa, because we do not live together, but we can go for a PMV. We do not mind, because we intend to marry anyway, so if it is earlier then no problem.

My question is, my girlfriend has an opportunity to go to Greece for 3months in June, during the 9 month period. Is this ok?

As long as the conditions of the visa are complied with it should not be a problem and as long as she has entered Australia within nine months of the visa grant, you could even have a Greek wedding and then apply for the partner visa from either abroad or back here in Australia but all within the nine months if back here.
If you can in fact marry while the PMV is being processed, notify Immi and they will then consider the visa as a partner visa.
Again, you ought to read all the Immi information or you could mess up any application.
