Kangaroogirl, thanks for replying. I see...at the moment I ticked no too so I can fill up the rest. I just hope I can tick yes and proceed with my application after I get my medical exam done. Me too don't wanna do paper form, so much hassle! I'll just wait till I get my medical exam result and I'll tick yes box and see I'd my application can be processed *fingers crossed*

If it gets close to the time you want to submit, just do it without the medical though, as it can always be added later and it seems many people do it that way. Good luck and keep us posted! We are hoping to submit our application this coming weekend. It will be a huge relief to have it submitted!

Hi Kangaroogirl -

I expect they may have incorrect info about your location, which could trigger the error you have seen in the partner visa application. Please contact me directly (see email in our contact page on the website in my signature) and I can assist with getting you a proper VEVO report to determine exactly what the conditions are on the current ETA and where DIBP believes you are - if they have you incorrectly listed as offshore, a simple trip to DIBP will usually clear this up painlessly.

Hope this helps -

Best,

Mark Northam

Here is a screenshot.

I don't understand why it says "the last date you can enter australia" is the expiry date....shouldn't it say that is the date you must leave australia by, if he is currently IN Australia?

One of the things on that list of reasons for the error is "Your location cannot be confirmed"

Could they have possibly screwed up when we re-entered and they don't know if he is in the country hence not allowing an on-shore application??

It does not list "no further stay" under the conditions there.

They haven't changed the rules about applying on-shore if you're on an ETA have they????

Here's a screenshot of the ETA details

Thanks Mark - it turned out to be that I'd selected "yes" to the question about health check being completed, but ours hasnt been finalised yet as he has to see a specialist. We went to immigration office they checked and his ETA is apparently all ok. So looks like just a glitch...
