Contact from Case Officer re:Spouse 309 Application

apparently our Case Officer emailed my husband on 07/27/10.
I only found this out today when I contacted the Embassy, my husband claims he never got it - so i got him to go over his emails and yes there on 07/27/10 was an email from....the case officers personal [email protected] with the subject as ...a series of numbers (case file number as it turns out)[SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

AS HE GETS A LOT OF WEIRD EMAILS HE DIDN'T OPEN IT!!!

In one way i don't blame him, as you'd be looking for something with Immigration or Visa or Aus Gov. on it.....so just a head's up, as to what that email may look like.

my agent actually removed my email add from the forms. He wants the case officer to mail me or call me instead of email.

I really didn't get this since email is always faster

not only is email faster, but mailing involves more money and time for the department, and calling means more time as a phone call always takes longer than a phone call.
i wonder why he did that?

Most email programs allow you to filter emails into a specific folder. I did this with my emails from IMMI and it was very helpful to prevent them being lost. You can direct all emails from the immi.au email address to a folder and you can also use keywords within the email to direct them.

Are you sure your agent has not set it up so they are the contact?
If you want to be the contact, I'd just send Immi a Form 1022 to have your email address put back on and if the agent has nominated themselves and you do not want that, then send in a form 956.
You'll find them from the menu at left of Immi pages.
