Visa class ve subclass 175

I know that as per VISA rule of VISA CLASS VE Subclass 175, I need to make first entry to Australia within six months. I wish to know that if you have been granted this VISA is there any compulsion to enter Australia after first entry every six month or so.Suppose I wish to finally go to Austrlia leaving my current place of residence after 1-2 years, is it possible to delay my travel next time after first entry by 1-2 years.

I am not aware of a hard rule of the 175 visa that requires you to enter within 6 months. The entry date depends on your medical and criminal background checks and when they expire. I was approved for my visa in July but have until May to enter Australia.

I also don't see any requirement to enter the country for any specific intervals after the first entry. So you as far as I can tell, you can enter the country to activate your visa, then return anytime within your 5 year visa and begin work.

The only caveat is that if you take that long to begin your visa, it may be more difficult to get the visa renewed after 5 years, and if you want to become a citizen, it takes 4 years of living in Australia.

What Maverick has stated is essentially correct, ie.
. a latest enter by date will be stipulated with a visa grant.
. you need to enter by then to validate it and then you have five years
. you do not actually need to renew it after five years unless you want to leave Australia before you're eligible for citizenship and an Australian passport and without that what you apply for is a Resident Return Visa which is good for another five years.
