An employer sponsored PR is going to be far quicker but you may find most employers will opt for the 457 TR .
Having an assessment for an occupation on the new SOL is a good start but family sponsorship could mean you'll be waiting any length of time for if there are more people applying for employer sponsorship, even the 457, that will just push the independent applications to the back of the queue.
In between, you will also shortly have the second rung of the priority system and that will be sponsorship by states/territories for their State Migration Plans which could soon be established.
Have a look at the information for that on the What's New Link you'll find at the top of the Professional and Other Skilled Workers page.
Client Service Charter will give an idea but it's always outdated info by at least a year and with changes in the past year, I'd add a bit to times that are quoted.
