I would do the bank account mish suggested but also do a joint one in Kenya - two definitely better than one. Mish is right - the Kenyan embassy is a lot harsher than the Cairo one and 100 % they will want masses of evidence. If it was that easy to get a visa and all u needed was a will super and couple of western union receipts every African under the sun would have already moved here lol
I really appreciate ur and Mish's help, I realyy oknw how to thank you with all these info which I can hardly get from any where!!!!
ok therefore I keep in mind to submit the application at least few weeks after my 2nd tripp which im planning for eary april.
as for the joint account, well we can only do one in Kenya since in Australia they just dont allow that before seing her!
and for the joint account in Kenya, how much money you reckon we should have in?

as far as I know the Islamic wedding we had is not considered legal in Kenya so there is no issue in that, I'm sure!
by the way. i'm talking to her almost 2 hours every night and taking viber shots as well. is that good or need to be more? I'm not willing to give out anhy chat log just screen shots of the viber length of talks.

thanks very much

I believe you are correct the religious marriage is not legal and DIBP would not recognise it. In Egypt non-married residents (being 1 person being Egyptian) can not stay in a hotel room together unless they are married and have an official marriage certificate. I imagine Kenya is the same.

In regards to viber we just exported the data and showed that we chatted it didnt show the length. A good app for chatting is rebel as it shows the calls online. My migration agent said all they are interested in that you are in contact the length of the calls etc does not matter.

regarding satying in hotel, no Kenya is way different as the government is not Islamic so it's just like a western system.
as for the viber, it does show the calls, and that's what I'm getting snapshots of our viber call logs which shows date and length.

by thw way, since I'm sort of preparing the applicatin package, ( I know she'll gotta submit, we will do it when I go there in my next trip hopefully), the viber logs we are including are the screenshots from my phone, i mean you know it shows I'm calling her! is that ok? or it should be otherway around since it's her application?! ( i mean screen shots of her logs so show her calling me!)

thanks once again for everyones input, much appreciated

Doesn't matter who it is from and to as long as it shows. Why don't you submit it online? Easier to add additional evidence when you need to.

Yes ur first few weeks there make it your mission to get evidence. Everything we did together I took photographic evidence to show our common interests and as. Often as possible with other people in the shot I.e. Going bowling, playing pool, going to cinema, church, shopping for food together, cooking together, at his mums house, with his daughter, with his dad, with his friends, at restaurants, at football games. I also made sure we bought joint appliances and put receipts in both our names use air con, fridge, washer, tv etc.

Have ur camera with u wherever u go, and get a friend to constantly snap u doing all these things. If u can possibly meet any other Australians while u are there make friends with them so u can get 2 stat decs from them. I recommend about 8 stat decs and then a bunch of statements from ur Kenyan friends and her family. Also put ur family in contact with her in Skype regularly and then get Stat decs from family members. If there are any family events happening in Australia get them to issue u with formal invitations addressed to both of u even though she clearly can't come it shoes ur friends and family accept u as couple.

Is there any western club u can both join in Kenya like a gym or a pool? Anything really like that. Maybe joint membership of an English football club like Chelsea etc.

For joint account if u cAn put maybe $200 to open but then send money from Australia regularly via bank transfer even if it's small amounts like $50 a month and she can withdraw it regularly so it shows regular support if her by you.

Good luck I really want u to succeed!
