subclass 175 - Accountant 221111

Hi everybody,

My brother has applied for the subclass 175 just a week before his occupation is Accountant . he has got his assessment outcome from NIA under the ASCO Code 2211-11 but he applied for the visa under the ANZSCO code 221111. I am now afraid that will there be any problem due to this transition of ASCO to ANZSCO code and is there any necessity to get re-assessment. Please advice me whether his outcome under ASCO code is sufficient or should he get re-assessment under ANZSCO code.

Thank you.

Unless he was eligible for some transitional arrangement and that for onshore students, any applications from 1 July have to use the ANZSCO code and if he has not an assessment for that and has claimed to have, he has essentially provided false information.
He should at least contact NIA and see if they have a transitional arrangement themselves for getting reassessed with an ANZSCO code and if he can get that done quick enough he may be able to update his application if he advises Immi of the error straight away.
But there is every chance his application may be rejected and the application fee lost.
