what visa (help please)

i really want to move me and the family to oz but i dont no what visa i need for us. i have 2 kids and a girlfriend who is the mother of my kids, i want to work in oz so what visa best suits us. I have 6 years in building an construsion mainly in concrete work. Help me please...... Pat

Apart from working in the concrete business Pat, you need to have some qualifications and then getting an assessment for a particular occupation is the first step.
You can check out the occupations via schedules #3 or #4 [ not yet active ], the ENSOL via. the Skilled Occupations List link on Professionals and other Skilled Migrants - Workers - Visas & Immigration and also have a look at Employer Sponsorship and in particular the Temporary Residency 457 visa is one that gets used frequently.

Follow the headings from either page and have a look at the Processing Priority you'll find via the What's New Link on first page above and there's a heap of info about the processes that all mean a bit of time and money needed.
A partner and children can be included on any primary applicants visa application as secondary applicants and if your partner has qualifications, she can be the primary and you a secondary.
