ASCO-ANZSCO Code Question

Hi all,

I have received a positive assessment on 2231-79 (Computing Prof nec) last March. I called up ACS and informed me that I just needed to send them a certified copy of the ACS result letter. I would like to apply for 261311 (Analyst Programmer) now so that I can apply for Relative-sponsored visa (Subclass 176). Can anyone advise me on the following?

1. What other documents/forms do I need aside from ACS result letter as they would need to know that I am applying for 261311 (Analyst Programmer)? How much and how do I pay? (Last time I did it online)
2. Will the new result invalidate my previous result in the ASCO list? If I get a negative assessment in ANZSCO list, I would like to use the old one so I still have an option for State-sponsored visa (hoping the SMP will be finalized soon)

ACS are providing a transitional assessment service and I imagine that will apply where there is an ANZSCO direct equivalent of an ASCO assessment already issued but check what is on the ACS site.
If you want to apply for a different classification to the one intended to be issued by ACS, I would expect you would need to show compliance to get a different assessment.
Ditto with an immigration application.

I am leaning towards the 2nd option since the direct equivalence of my ASCO assessment is now in Schedule 4. I can't wait for them for the SMP as they (all the states I have checked) are not providing timelines when it will be available.
I want to be re-assessed based on an ANZSCO code included in Schedule 3 so I can still apply for a family-sponsored visa.
What do you think are the other documents I would need other than the original ACS letter as advised by the ACS officer I talked to?

A new application would require all the documentation that would be required as if you have not previously submitted an application, just like what you did previously.

ASCO code 2211-11??

It seems similar type of question from me.

My skill assessment was done as per ASCO code 2211-11 for my occupation as Accountant at NIA in 2009.

As the new classification of skilled occupation list has ANZCO codes, can some one help me which category of skilled occupation will my application fall into;

-221111 Accountant(General)
-221112 Management Accountant
-221113 Taxation Accountant

Further do I need to contact NIA to get the skill assessment in ANZCO code for my occupation.

Thanks

Have a look at the new SOL and you'll see that there is what they call a mapping provision - see what a new equivalent code is and yes you'll need an ANZSCO classification and while NIA may have a transitionary arrangement, someone has claimed that with an engineering code, Immi will accept an ASCO code but I 've not seen Immi information on that myself.

Thanks for your kind attention,

I have already applied for the visa(176), so I'm not sure which skilled occupation my application will fall into, as Accountant(2211 11) has been mapped to all of the three above occupations.

Further South Australia's Interim Skill List shows only Management Accountant and Tax Accountant, which may put my application to Level three as my occupation may be out of the South Australia SMP

Could you please help me on that?

Thanks

When did you apply and do you already have state sponsorship?

I got my state sponsorship in June 2009, and Applied for Visa 176 also in June 2009. I'm fully confused

Sorry for the late reply as I was away from internet

Even I hae state sponsorship, if my occupation is out of South Australia's SMP, I can't get my application processed at second level of priority.

I have been waiting for the visa for more than one year now, and if I don't fall into second level of processing I may have to wait further (
