Pregnant GF who lives overseas

Hi, can anyone give me some idea where I might stand if I (Australian citizen) had a GF who was in Aus and on a student visa ended up getting pregnant but had since moved back to her own country? If the child was born overseas where would her or the baby stand as far as visa or immigration into Australia? thanks.

If you are still continuing a relationship the partner can apply for a partner visa and if that is done after the child is born, that can be a waiver of 12 months relationship requirement.
Check out details under eligibility on the partner visa via Family - Visas & Immigration
A child to an Oz citizen will be entitled to Australian citizenship by descent.
