Urgent! Probably a stupid question regarding visa lodgement

Hi everyone,

My partner and I are lodging our visa tomorrow! Eek (wish us luck!) I currently have an A4 sized envelope with our main forms and identification and medical clearance, plus an A4 sized plastic pocket folder with all the supporting documentation. Does anyone know the form in which immigration prefer the visa to be lodged i.e. in a post satchel, envelope etc? I've read most of the forms on the immi website and can't find relevant information.. if anyone knows please help otherwise I'll have to give immigration a call

Thank you!

There has been some information on the web site in the past re not lodging an application in a folder and by that I'd think they're not wanting the more rigid type of folders but as some applications have a significant number of documents, if they cannot all be held together with a paperclip [ and you can get some big ones ] having a number of A4 plastic covers in one of those soft covers with the Checklist as a sort of index following the application I'd reckon would be acceptable and will stop stuff from coming adrift.

Thanks,
I might try that... We do have a lot of documents and I'm worried about anything going missing but that seems like a good idea to keep it all together

it does state on Immi that they don't want anything stapled or in folders. My thought is that the more work they have to do, removing paperwork from folders etc. all adds to the time it takes to process applications.

What we did (and our pile of paperwork was 8" high):-
1. A covering letter from my spouse (the Applicant) stating, in order, what was attached.
This order followed the requested order of documents by Immi.

2. a Front Page on each 'section' detailing in order what was in that section.

Each section was paper clipped using a large paperclip.

Hope this helps.......
