Fingerprints rejected?

Ok, so i finally received mail from the FBI today after waiting for 2 mths, and alas...one of my sets of prints was rejected.

So i know i need to get them redone...my question is, Do they need to be in the yucky, hard to get accurate ink, or can they be sent as digital prints?

I was under the impression they only took ink, but maybe I am wrong.

Anyone have experience sending digital prints?

Soooo frustrating.

Hope you've had better luck getting new prints taken.

I had a quick question: were you charged the FBI processing fee when they rejected your fingerprints?

Thanks for your help,
Kristin

Yes, I was charged about a week or so before i got the rejection letter.

They said that the will re-process once without charging again so i just had to send fingerprints back to them.

Still waiting to see what happens with the 2nd prints.

Did you open the FBI envelope? Or is there a note separate to the sealed result?

I opened it, I don't think it has to be sealed...just has to be the original when you send/give it to immigration.
