Someone else posted recently about how they could not get a police check because of an outstanding warrant and the only option it seems to get a PCC is to return and do whatever is necessary to clear the warrant.
All employment type visas other than possibly a Working Holiday Visa require a PCC and with any visa I think you will find there is a question on the arrivals card about any convictions though a warrant is not necessarily a conviction.
Still best to get it sorted.
