Haha i understand online communication but i dont see this line 'Blame not the Australians, lay blame on your country' to have any sweetness to it or dont see a hidden joke...and secondly can someone go and read my threads and where i pointed the finger at my country australia hmmm and where peter got this idea from because im abit confused i think he just likes to push peoples buttons by passing on unnecessary comments all i can say is if u dont have anything good to say dont say it at all, because its hard enough waiting for this process to happen and we dont need people like Mr Peter Diamond making our time even worse.

Hi Kangeroo,

Yes, we're in the same boat. I'm Australian born, husband is from Pakistan. We have been waiting 10-1/2 months. Our interviews were earlier this month. We too are hoping interviews are a sign visa will be granted soon.

I also noticed there is no reliable pattern regarding the visa grants for Pakistanis. Some are a couple of months, others take a lot longer.

If you don't mind, I'd like to keep in touch with you to find out how you go?

Kangeroo,
All required documents were supplied last May 2013, medicals done and cleared last June 2013, CO assigned May 2013, Form 80 requested Dec. 2013, filled in and send to DIBP last December 2013, "not received" despite tracked courier, so sent again in January 2014, receipt by DIBP acknowledged. More photos and information given at interviews. His interview 2 hours, mine 1-1/2 hours. That's it, now we're just waiting, waiting, waiting.

We've applied at DIBP Islamabad. Where did you apply?

"requested all of our pics again during the interview because they said they dont accept hardcopys anymore". We supplied our pics last May 2013 as hard copies. During our interviews end February 2014, and beginning March 2014, not one word was mentioned about the pics!

If one is thinking logically, it could be assumed that your visa will be granted soon. Why would they report that your security checks are positive, and then interview you if they didn't intend to grant your visa?

Exactly no where does it say they dont accept hardcopies anymore and they wanted my passport pics also via email in passport size =S dont know how that works lolz even though they were all stapled to my application...anyways yea they did say that when asked after the interview but i dont really know how they work they could have just said that to shut me up haha but yea another thing could be that they want all the info like medicals cleared pics interviews out of the way etc and may have opened our file just now , hence the medical requested last week because they usually do that in the start and may have just started the process...

My thoughts and prayers are with you guys waiting from Islamabad. I almost applied in Islamabad, then realised with an 820, hubby will get a BVA, so we went that avenue. We've only been waiting 3 months, but I can feel the time mainly because no one will give a decent job to a non-resident.
Maybe check my profile and follow the link to my page and we can discuss further.

As for the racist remarks, yes, they were definitely racist and appalling. There is blame on no one, not on Australia, or on Pakistan, both are doing their best under tough conditions.
