Prospective Marriage Visa

I sent in an application for a de facto visa a couple of months ago and I've been assigned a case officer who wants us to send some more detailed information.

The thing is we got engaged last month and i'm wondering has anyone heard of a timeline being set for engaged couples. I read somewhere that it is 9 months from the date the visa is granted.

Our case officer knows we are engaged but has said nothing to us about this 9 month deadline.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this.

Apologies I should have said that I read you have to get MARRIED within 9 months of the visa being granted.

Your defacto visa application is what you have applied for and though there is provision for an applicant having applied for a PMV then having their visa application considered as a partner visa, it does not really work in reverse and hence no comment from the CO.
Just supply whatever has been asked for.

Yes, with a PMV, marriage and application for a partner visa needs to occur within nine months of grant of a PMV but that is irrelevant to you having applied for the defacto visa.
