need help for 820/801 visa suggestions....

Hi guys
I'm new to this forum. Don't know how it works. But please whoever see my post reply if you can help.
I applied 820/801 in September 2012 last week.
My 820 visa was granted first week of Dec 2012.
Now I'm waiting for my 801 visa.if anybody can tell me what documents they ask to submit for 801.
How long does it take for 801. When do they inform me to submit the documents if they want . or how would they inform me that they have re open my file for 801 visa. What is the duration for the approval of visa from getting the information of reopening my application.
I know I have too many questions. Please help

Flowerpot...

Hi Flowerpot -

See this link for lots of info: Partner (Permanent) Calculator

You can use the online calculator to show when you can lodge a request for the 801 application to continue processing - likely September 2014. If you want to see the docs required including stat decs, etc, put in a date into the above link that is more than 2 years old and it will show you all the docs needed. Typical processing time on these can run from 6 to 9 months, sometimes longer, very unpredictable.

Hope this helps -

Best,

Mark Northam

Thank you very much Mark for your reply. I just checked the link you sent. I am not eligible yet. I guess I have to wait for few more months. But the link was helpful in regards to the documents.
Also, i had applied for the visa through a lawyer, but now she doesn't work with the firm anymore. And the firm hasn't hired any immigration lawyer yet. So, do you think i need to contact the immigration department and inform them about this? Or the immigration department will contact me directly?
Thanks again

Regards
Flowerpot

Hi Flowerpot -

Glad the link was helpful. When it's time for you to apply (or before), I would contact DIBP (immigration dept) and see if your file still has the lawyer as your appointed agent. You can lodge a simple form to take her name off it so DIBP will send all correspondence to you.

Best,

Mark Northam

MARK,
I had applied 820/801 together, so basically I am waiting for the permanent residency. And I guess in that case, I better call immigration department and let them know about my lawyer so they can take her name off. And they directly contact me when needed.
Thanks for your help.

Regards
Flowerpot

Question form 956

Hi Mark,
I need your help again. I have been recently informed that the lawyer who was helping me for my visa application sub 820/801, has left the company. And they don't have any immigration lawyer at this stage. So, I emailed the immigration department to change the correspondence details.
And they told me to fill up form 956 to change the contact details for further communication.
I am the applicant and my husband is from Australia, who is a sponsor .
Now, when I fill up form 956 , I don't know what to fill in the questions 12 and13?
Being an applicant, do I fall into nominator category or spouse? Should I fill up the form or my husband has to do it?
He doesn't check his emails very often and he is very slow when it comes to technology.
In this situation, how to inform immigration department to directly contact me via email ?
I am on temporary (820sub) since Dec 2012. And waiting for the final decision from immigration.

Help please
Flowerpot.

Hi Flowerpot -

Suggest you complete sections B and C of Form 956, listing the old agent in question 20. Then send to the old agent (or let his former firm) for signature; if the former agent is not available, then I would lodge the form without the former agent's signature with a note that the agent was not able to be located. Make sure you check "Ending Appointment" on the signature box(es). Once the form is processed, communications should then revert to you (as the applicant). No need to have your husband complete or sign anything as he's (only) the sponsor.

Hope this helps -

Best,

Mark Northam

820/801 additional doce

Hey Mark,
This is my whole process time for 820/801 visa so far,
And I need some suggestions from you.
Applied for 820/801 on 26/09/2012
Submitted all documents by 17/10/2012
820 visa granted on 04/12/2012
Now, immigration department asked for additional documents on 28/07/2014.
My question is what is the best way to send immigration department all my additional documents?
Also, how long does it take for final results? I mean for PR?
Do you suggest any additional information or documents to provide which I don't know?
I have both of us ( my husband and mine together) travel documents, gifts, social life photos and get together, car insurance, bills, house rent and bond details, bank statements for joint account, )
Is there anything else I need to provide them? Please help

Thanx in advance
Kind regards
Flowerpot

Hi Flowerpot -

Would suggest you lodge this online via ImmiAccount. Usually takes a few months for this processing, but DIBP processing times are very unpredictable. Sounds like you have a good assortment of documents, but can't give you an opinion on your case without actually seeing the documents you plan to submit at a consultation.

Hope this helps -

Best,

Mark Northam
