Hey,

I have decided to apply for ACS assessment.

Wondering if you help me on this.
How do I prepare my employee reference letter?
I have seen several samples. But I want to hear someone passed the assessment.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Lonely Planeteer, it is good to get reference letter on letter pad directly from organization, but if it is not possible for you then you can wirte your duties, responsibilities and projects then get it signed from your supervisior and get it notarised. This worked for me and I wish you best of luck.

Thanks for your reply!

Anyway I have already written a letter.
But there are some confusions. I have been working in an organization for about 4 years. And in that tenure i was involved with 5/6 projects.

Do I have to list all those projects? or only duties and responsibilities I have performed?

And another question is suppose there are two projects Project A and Project B.
My duties are almost same for those projects.

i) Gather Requirements
ii) Analysis Them
iii) Design Database
iv) Design System
v) Lead Developers while coding

Should I write same duties in both projects? It'll increase the length of reference letter, but I am afraid will it add values to the letter?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you should give reference to all your projects, try to elobarte your duties as much as you can. It is about giving confidance about your roles and resposibilities to ACS assesssment team.

Thanks.

My letter is something like this

[My employment details along with joining date, designation, full time status]

[Description of my organization]

[Duties and Responsibilities I performed]

[Technology I used]

[Couple of lines praising me ]

[Signature of my Manager]

Is it okay? Do I have to provide anything else like Pay slip, joining letter?

Since I worked only 1 company in my career there is only one reference letter. is it a problem?

Thanks for all your replies. I really appreciate it.

Question:ACS Assessment

Hi Guys!

After checking my online status on my ACS assessment, I just wondered why it could be taking so long and saw this forum. I just want to ask do you think it is normal that my application is taking too long, almost 12 plus weeks had passed and still my application status is still "In Process" I'm just thinking could there be something holding my application.

Appreciate some ideas regarding this.

Normal processing times will vary depending on numbers of applications received aside from their quality and right now I imagine a few staff could even have taken annual holidays leave so you can always expect delays in applying within a couple of months of Xmas/NY period.

Assessment progress

Hi Guys,

My ACS online status says "With assessor" however it already have a registered post number. I'm just curious would this mean that the assessment was almost complete and I should just be waiting for the result or could there be a possibility that the post they sent was not the result instead they're requiring for additional papers/info etc?

Thanks!
