Of course. They want a copy of your relationship registration if you have registered your relationship, but your relationship does not HAVE to be registered in order to be considered de facto. However, if you do not meet the 12-month living-together requirement, you can register your relationship (in most states) in order to waive that 12-month criterion.

If you can get the Post Office to write a statement saying there's no postal service to your property, and that's why you have a PO Box, number XXXX, I think that would be helpful.
