Renting off Parents -Defacto Visa

I had been living in a house I rented off my Dad with friends for a couple of years then when my BF came to Oz they moved out and we lived there together and shared bills ect. Do I just get my Dad to write a Stat Dec to say we payed him rent? I have electricity and gas bill in joint names its just we obviously didnt have a lease as it was my Dads house.

The bills in joint names is good and certainly also get your dad to knock up details of a rental agreement and doing it as a Statutory Declaration would also be good.
Anything at all that both of you have individually referring to the address ought to be used too.
