Changing from class 300 to 820

Great news! we had our prospective marriage visa approved yesterday!

We want to get married asap and then change our status to the 820 Partner Visa.

I am a little confused and overwhelmed... It looks like we need to submit brand new medicals and such?

I'm still researching as we speak... anyone have any input?

If you are getting married fairly quickly and get the 820 application in, you may stand a chance of the initial medical being OK, especially since being in Australia.
The Checklist says to provide info on when a medical has been done and I imagine from there it'll be up to how long ago the 300 medical was done.
Could be an ex 300 applicant that may come on and say what happened with them.

I was just wondering the same thing Clint! Our PMV visa was approved last week and we're getting married this December. I just phoned general enquires (131-881) and they said that if the medical and police clearance are still within the 12 months validity period then you don't need to submit new ones. If you have copies you should include them but either way include a covering letter which lists the when and where you obtained the checks and which office your visa application was submitted to.

Other than that, just looks like we need to submit all the same stuff that was included with the PMV visa but this time with more living together and combining of affairs proof, updated stat decs and obviously the marriage certificate

Hope that helps to clarify things!
