VISA 175 - Questions

Heya,

I just send my application for my assessment for my engineer diploma.. I have to wait another 4 months now.. But i want to be prepared to send my application for the 175 subclass visa

So i have couple of questions:
1/ When you lodge your visa, do you need to be outside of Australia?

2/ Do I need to certify all the photocopy that I will submit? Like Passport, birth certificates, references letters??

3/ To justify my work experience, can i use my 457 visa as a prove?

4/ Form 47A, does this form need to be filled out when you are applying on your own?

5/ Military Discharge Certificates, do i need to put that in my application? If yes, how can i obtain it?

6/ What is DEED Pool Certificates?

I suppose you might reply already to this question, thanks to reply to me..

Lili

I'll answer this with a suggestion that if you want to take a DIY approach you really need to make yourself very familiar with all visa eligibility requirements and the application process, making good use of the Checklist, links in all sections having answers you seek.
Attempting to do otherwise and asking of this and that on a forum could just see you mess up your application and lose your application fee.

Hi Wanderer,

Thanks for your advise.
First of all, could you please let me know what is a DIY??

I read all about the 175 Visa on the immigration website and i had a look to the checklist too.

but..

1/ On the immigration website, they say that the applicant need to be outside of Australia and i have seen on your web site the opposite.. So i just want to check if maybe that have changed during the last year?

2/ I will have another look on the web site

3/ On the web site, they don't say that you can use the 457 visa as a justificatif but i think it can show that you have employed as your qualification for x years.. Furthermore, on my work contract there is no description job/position.

4/ i was not too sure about this one

5/ I couldn't find any thing, i will have another look

6/ Same, I couldn't find any thing, i will have another look

Thanks for your time

1. No, but you need to be outside to have a 175 granted.
2. Yes.
3. If you have been working in your occupation with the 457, that experience is OK.
4. No.
5. If the application form requests it, yes and you should have gotten discharge papers I'd expect and if not talk to your military.
6. Where did you dig that up from?

You mean to have a read of the Immi site or just answer to Q1.
Anyway, why would you be worried?
Immi are the government, where you get the regulations information direct from the government department so why would you want another web site.
As for a Kit!, crikey, you could not get a better kit than using the information available from the Immi site, the eligibility table and links from there and application Checklist all being very clear.
